Welcome to my web site.
My name is Vashti Monica Ford.  I was born in Greenville, Mississippi February 8, 1939 and attended public elementary and high school graduating May 25, 1956.  I worked for four years before going to college in Lakeland, Florida at Southeastern College now Southeastern University.  I graduated May 25, 1964 and embarked on a teaching career in the public school system that lasted 13 years.  About half of those years were in second grade and about half were in specialized reading for under achievers.
At the end of these years my pastor, Ouentin Edwards, asked me to quit teaching and come and work as the Christian Education Director for the church.  This I did for 30 years as a staff member.  This job included almost every aspect of the ministry.  I staffed the Sunday school, oversaw the bus ministry, nursing home and prison ministries, visited the sick, counseled, arrange many of the large outreach events, planned and taught the teacher training meetings, coordinated Missionettes and Royal Rangers for children, oversaw the Women's Ministries, visited in the homes of many of the church familes, and attended most of the weddings, funerals, showers, and other related events.
During ten of  those years I taught as an adjunct faculty member at Southeastern College in the College Prep Department as a reading teacher.  I, also, taught a couple of other courses.  The church released me to do this and come back to work.
In addition to all of this I worked on a Master's degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary over several years so I could pay for it as I went.  I graduated in 1995 and later was ordained as an Assemblies of God minister.
I have arranged and taken teams all over the world to minister in many countries.  This is a love of my life that excites me more than almost anything.  God told me I would teach all over the world and I have been on 30 plus trips to various countries, some of them more than once.  I have taught in Bible Institutes, Seminaries, taught puppet construction, taken team to build churches and ministry buildings, been on a medical team, taught in Christian School conferences and taught many groups of local church people topics realted to Christian education.  I have helped in Kid's Krusades and held Vacation Bible School for children.

I will be going to Slovakia June 10 through June 21, 2010 to teach Romany women.  There will be a conference at a Church in Poprad where the Romany women will be brought in for teaching.  We plan activities for the children, as well, with Joanne Nash leading them.
